What a city. Well I went to Barcelona a while back now and it was wonderful. The city is huge! I think 6 million people live there. I stayed right in the heart near Las Ramblas, one of the main streets of the city. I walked so much. It was beautiful weather, way different than in Cadaques, mid 70's I think. The sun was so nice and warm. I didn't even go to the beach, but managed to get a sun burn.
A neat court yard with orange trees. There are oranges everywhere! I feel like its the national fruit.
The Cathedral in Barcelona, under construction.
The market. I got there fifteen minutes after it closed, I was so disappointed. Oh well.
The tall building on the left is one of the few sky scrappers, I think there are maybe three or four total in the city.
The Sagrada Familia. The most famous church in Spain, if not Europe. Its still under construction. Its very modern and different from any church I've seen.
If you look close you can see that there is fruit on the peaks!
On Sunday, as I was walking around the city I happened to stumble upon an antique car show. It was really neat, they dressed up and there was a cool presentation.
A lake in Parc de la Ciutadella.
A famous and very beautiful fountain in Parc de la Ciutadella, but it was under construction.
The arc de triumph. Yes they have one too, its not just in Paris.
I found this as I was walking through the park, kinda random.
The entrance of Parc Guell with a Tuk-tuk in front of it.
A street performer in Parc Guell.
The famous lizard in Parc Guell.
Gaudi designed the park and did not leave any details out. The cieling was so detailed.
the architecture here looks amazing!! it's soo unique and different. it takes a long time to build especially when they are soo detailed.
ReplyDeletethe mammoth is AMAZING!! love the hairness of it.
table tennis, that would be awesome to have in a park, kinda like chess in the park.
