Cheese of the Week - Bleu Mont's Bandaged Cheddar (Wisconsin)

Bleu Mont's Bandaged Cheddar is fantastic! Now is the best time to buy it because the wheel's that are ready for consumption today have used the best milk. The milk has a different taste than normal because the cows are eating spring and summer grasses and it influences the taste of the milk, and thus the cheese as well. The flavor varies from bite to bite, such as clover or grass. The last piece I had I detected a note of beats, exquisite. Bleu Mont is an artisan cheese maker out of Wisconsin. You most likely won't be able to find this at your grocery store, but maybe at a specialty shop. Best of luck in finding it, and the search is well worth the effort for this fantastic cheese.
